How to Use a Himalayan Salt Stone Warmer for Massage

Quick Answer

Using your Himalayan salt stone warmer is straightforward: place the stones in the bowl, plug in the dimmer cord, and let the 50-watt bulb heat them for about 20-30 minutes before your massage. The dimmer lets you control the heat.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the Warmer: Place the Himalayan salt stones inside the polycarbonate bowl. Ensure the 50-watt bulb is securely installed and the dimmer cord is connected to a power outlet. Check that the bulb is the correct wattage—using a higher wattage can damage the warmer or stones.
2. Heat the Stones: Turn on the warmer using the dimmer switch. Start at a low setting and gradually increase to your desired heat level. Allow 20-30 minutes for the stones to warm through. Test a stone on your inner wrist before applying to a larger area to avoid burns.
3. Apply During Massage: Once heated, use the stones for a full-body massage. Place them on key points like the back or shoulders, or glide them over oiled skin. Keep the warmer nearby to reheat stones as needed. Never leave the warmer unattended while plugged in, and unplug it after use.
